TEMPLE BACKGROUND

Sridurka Hindu Temple (also known as Thurkeswaram) represents the collective aspiration of the Hindu community in Toronto. Our congregation embraces diverse backgrounds, serving Hindus from North Indian, South Indian, Sri Lankan, Malaysian/Singaporean, and West Indian traditions. Visitors often describe the unique sense of family that permeates our gatherings. The Temple has experienced remarkable growth, with our current facilities serving over 300,000 Hindus from Toronto and surrounding areas. This continued expansion reflects our vibrant and thriving community.

 

RELIGIOUS ACHIVEMENTS
 

  • The first temple in North America consecrated with 33 Homa-sanctified Kumbhabhishekam performed by over 50 high priests from around the world

  • The first Temple to complete Nava Koti (90 million) Archana Worship continuously for three years (2003-2006) dedicated to world peace

  •  A Temple constructed according to Shaiva and Shakta Agamas (Hindu Scriptures), adhering to all relevant Vastu principles and appropriate Agamic regulations

At SRIDURKA HINDU TEMPLE, devotees have witnessed numerous divine blessings. Many report healing of ailments, resolution of fertility challenges, reconciliation of family conflicts, guidance in finding suitable life partners, and attainment of happiness and peace.
