It is believed that the Raja Gopuram built with granite stones has the capability to preserve spiritual energy for a longer period of time.

It is said in Hindu Scriptures that, whoever contributes for the construction of a Raja Gopuram with black granite stones will have a place beside God forever.

Carved black granites stones are shipped from India after being blessed by gurus and purified by holy river water -  Ganges, Kaveri, and Yamuna.

Dear Devotees,    
           Finally, Goddess Sri Durga has chosen her abode in Toronto, Canada. The almighty mother has made, part of this great project, being successful  using us as the tool. The first phase of the project is being completed. Now, Hindus in North America has a suitable place to rely on for their cultural and religious needs. 
          The congregation of this temple increases day by day. The appreciations from Hindus for the services of this temple brings us a sigh of satisfaction. This temple has become the focal point to all Hindus in Canada, USA and Hindu pilgrims from Europe. 
          Now, we are on the next step - Construction of Raja Gopuram & surrounding walls  with black granite stones. The estimated  cost of this project is 3.5 million Canadian Dollars.
